We are the Wild-Acts - the Theatre Arts department of Mountain View High School. Each year, we are responsible for the creation of 2 major productions, a smaller competition piece, and any number of One-Night performances through our Thespians and our Improv Troupe - 'Sorry In Advance'.
The Wild Acts are unlike any other club you may find in a high school - in that we are not exclusive to any particular skill set. Performance art recreates life on stage - and our productions have ranged from intensely introspective to slapstick comedy. We have tackled difficult topics such as bullying and loss. We have also explored life in Oz, and the comedies of Shakespeare.
Each member of the MV Wild Acts brings with them their unique persona - their own skills and technique. We then collaborate with all walks of life to produce work for the audiences enjoyment.
Additionally, we are home to Thespian Troupe 7143. The International Thespian Society is an honor society of high school students celebrating excellence in theatre. Our Thespians are the leaders of our department - the ones who are most often on and off stage. They are the engine that keep this machine running. If you have questions about Thespians - please see Mr. Hokanson.
There is a place for you among the Wild-Acts. Speak with the Thespian officers or contact the directors today to find out how you can begin a career in theatre.
