VCU Workshops on April 27th--$40. See display by Black Box for info. Lots of great workshops.
The Virginia Theatre Association Annual Conference (known as VTA) We are doing this in October. There are lots of workshops, competitions, etc. Celia cast has inside track for available spaces. If you want to go, you must do one of the following:
Play-writing Competition On- The- Spot Play Competition Improvathon One Act Festival—financial assistance will be available Design Competition Lip Sync battle 45 seconds Tech Olympics
Students - the best way to stay in the know is by joining our GOOGLE CLASSROOM page (code - vhofdte) and following us on Twitter @mvwildacts and Instagram @mvwildacts. We will still be using the Facebook page periodically, but not for OFFICIAL announcements.
There are also club shirts for $17. You can get a club membership and a t-shirt for an even $20. Car magnets are available for $5.
The THESPIANS are the leadership of the drama department. See Mr. Hokanson or the Thespian President, Grace Dalton, with any questions.
Wild Acts is looking for parents to be drama boosters. Drama Boosters welcomes all parents who wish to help out the drama program. The boosters helps with performance night dinners, supervision, and ticket sales. Please ask your parents to join by emailing OUR BOOSTER OFFICE. There are no formal meetings and we only ask you to volunteer when/if you are able.
There is Scotty Award money available for students wishing to extend their theatre knowledge and experiences outside of school in workshops, weekend intensives, etc.…see Mr. Clark for a pamphlet about this program.
